Position Overview:

* This position currently requires onsite work in Sacramento Tuesday and Wednesday.Ensures the quality, standardization, and integrity of data across all organizational systems, supporting comprehensive governance activities such as data stewardship, quality metrics, policy development, and compliance monitoring. This role encompasses both traditional data governance and extends to artificial intelligence (AI) systems, where applicable, by embedding ethical standards, risk assessments, and compliance processes specific to AI-based applications.Working across data and AI governance, collaborates with various teams to develop and enforce governance frameworks, address risks, and uphold policies that meet organizational and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities are structured to be applicable across diverse data assets, with additional focus on AI governance responsibilities, ensuring a unified approach to managing and safeguarding the organization's data and AI resources.Job Description:

EDUCATION:

Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.

Bachelor's: Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:

8 years recent relevant experience

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

Deep expertise in data governance, data quality frameworks, risk assessment, and policy development.
Knowledge of AI governance principles and practices, with the ability to integrate these into standard data governance workflows as needed for AI-specific responsibilities.
Proficiency in large-scale data management, compliance monitoring, and developing governance documentation for diverse platforms.
Effective communication skills for engaging with executives, management, and technical teams, enabling alignment across both data and AI governance areas.

Pay Range is $53.59 to $80.39 / hour

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
