Position Overview
Our Chennai team is seeking a software intern to support the development of state-of-the-art, scalable autonomous mobile robots. Working alongside top robotics engineers, you will contribute to pioneering robotic solutions by leveraging our cloud robotics platform, rapyuta.io. By 2025, we aim to become the market leader in developing scalable, collaborative, and flexible autonomous robots.
Key Responsibilities
- Software Development & Testing:
- Develop, test, and integrate software for reliable autonomous mobile robots.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with experienced robotics engineers to build a standard, scalable software stack for various robots and applications.
- Workflow Enhancement:
- Improve our development processes and workflows.
- Technology Evaluation:
- Evaluate cutting-edge technologies and assist in deploying them to production.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Education:
- Currently pursuing a B.E. in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field.
- Software Development:
- Experience gained through university courses or equivalent projects.
- Programming Languages:
- Proficiency in C++ and Python (academic or equivalent experience).
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical Experience:
- Exposure to one or more of the following areas:
- Robot Navigation
- Motion Planning
- Move Base / Move Base Flex
- Nav2
- Additional Skills:
- Experience with ROS, test-driven development, and CI/CD practices.
- Participation in robotics competitions (e.g., RoboCup, DARPA Grand Challenge) and/or contributions to open source projects.
