The Finance IT Products Portfolio Lead is accountable for leading from Technology perspective the Corporate Finance Platforms aiming at supporting critical services including Group Financial statements, Tax/Legal/Statutory reporting, IFRS compliance, payments & collections, and budget planning and forecasting.
The Finance Product Portfolio Lead is accountable for the end-to-end demand, design, build, deploy and run of our major IT platforms. This role is the senior product manager of a collection (Portfolio) of IT products managing the full IT lifecycle and critical senior business relationships and leadership of multiple product/scrum teams. Setting and delivering the strategy for our IT platform implementations, managing end to end software stability and security, building a highly skilled product organisation and deploying world class tooling to deliver stability and agility embedding generative AI capabilities to maximise value and enrich user experience. The technology suite compromises of a large SAP estate, Oracle platforms, Google GCP, SaaS solutions and on-premise applications.

We seek a trusted and motivated IT Platform Lead with a proven track record in developing and delivering portfolio visions. The ideal candidate will have strong consulting skills, a passion for innovation, and the ability to drive business alignment and agile delivery.
The candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of SAP and Oracle Finance solutions, strong knowledge on finance processes as well as cloud solutions and new technologies like Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, etc.
The role will need to blend functional expertise and strong stakeholder management to integrate an effective outcome that meets the needs of our business. It will look to deliver in an agile/SAFe manner – driving a product backlog with business alignment so that we ensure delivery across matrix teams and challenge vendors to address our priorities.
As the IT Platform Lead, you will serve as the key technology's point of contact to ensure effective support, advice and expertise on the design and best practice to exploit value from the product(s) the individual leads.
You will play a key role in influencing and ensure future product strategy e.g. SAP s4/HANA and Oracle, and SaaS vendors to meet the requirements of Vodafone technical and customer strategy. You will also ensure compliancy with security, architecture, privacy/GDPR, SOX and audit controls.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
• Oversee the end-to-end technical design, delivery, and deployment of IT Platforms, ensuring robustness, sustainability, and agility to meet future business needs.
• Overall product portfolio platforms strategy inc. driving innovation and experimentation for applications as well as strategic vendor partnership models and technical hosting strategies.
• Ensuring new technologies, methodologies, automation and service improvements are continuously evaluated and deployed e.g. DevOps/Self-service and automation. Working closely with IT Platform Service leads to deliver end to end.
• Monthly service reviews and strategic roadmap reviews with key business stakeholders and any corresponding service improvement plans as their senior partner in IT Platforms.
• Business Case inputs related to transformational projects initiated by the business including the costing of effort, landscape and delivery capabilities in line with Global architecture standards.
• Transforming and optimising the delivery model to maximise the potential of the teams, system integrators and offshore teams and satisfy business demands.
• Overall team and people development strategy of IT capabilities and in-house competency centre.
• Ensuring all platforms and products in their portfolio meet IT policy guidelines in terms of SOX, IT controls, IT resilience and vulnerability management. Key gatekeeper in approving all change that may impact the risk profile of the service.
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
• Proven capability in implementing, maintaining, and improving largescale, complex finance solutions for multinational TelCo and service organizations
• In depth knowledge of Finance systems and business processes and software development lifecycles Management skills, in particular: project management, networking, influence, communications and relationship management with both external and internal stakeholders and vendors.
• Leadership skills: creating alignment by sharing an inspiring vision, aligning multiple stakeholders with different interests, delegation, empowerment and asking for input before making decisions.
• Experience in managing offshore shared services centre resources, conducting regular service reviews with the focus on continuous improvements
• Proven ability to build and expand high performing teams
• A strong academic background with a degree in IT or Finance, complemented by an MBA and SAP certification, is essential
• Detailed and extensive knowledge of all SAP Finance modules and SAP S4HANA knowledge and experience
• SCRUM or Agile delivery experience as plus
• Experience in delivering BI/ERP Projects in international environment
• Experience (over 5 years) in large-scale and complex Business Transformation Programmes across multiple countries.
