Job Description
The Red Hat Software Engineering team is looking for an intern with some experience in Python to join us in Ra'anana, Israel. In this role, you will work with a group of talented software engineers and contributors across the globe. You will write new software as required to build the product and also develop tools to automate software deployments, upgrades, scaling, monitoring, alerting and testing. This long-term internship will give you the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge about Red Hat’s business and the open source culture.
Primary Job Responsibilities
Develop secure, reliable and scalable distributed systems and services, primarily in Golang, OpenShift and cloud-native technologies
Contribute to the design, development and testing of the products or services both upstream and downstream
Define, review and execute technical best practices
Participate in upstream communities
Collaborate with other engineers as needed
Implement AI solutions that integrate with existing business systems to enhance functionality
Required Skills
Basic experience in programming in Python
Good to have experience in Go
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
Background in Linux or UNIX operating systems
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability or willingness to work in developing models or training existing models
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Must be enrolled in an accredited university program in Israel during the whole duration of the internship and eligible to begin a full-time role in 2026 or 2027
Must be available for the internship from May 2025 till April 2026
