The Opportunity
The Chan Zuckerberg Biohub Chicago is seeking a highly-skilled Computational Biologist to develop computational pipelines and workflows for novel next-generation sequencing (NGS) assays. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in building alignment and QC pipelines from custom reference files and will collaborate closely with wet-lab scientists, computational experts, and AI researchers to generate high-quality data for innovative model training.
This is a hands-on role in a dynamic and interdisciplinary environment, with opportunities to work at the forefront of technology development and application in genomics, immunology, and AI-driven discovery. This position is funded by a one year grant, and as such, the term length here will be fixed.

The Chicago, IL base pay range for this role is Computational Biologist I = $88,000.00 - $121,000.00 and Computational Biologist II = $104,000.00 - $143,000.00. New hires are typically hired into the lower portion of the range, enabling employee growth in the range over time. Actual placement in range is based on job-related skills and experience, as evaluated throughout the interview process.
