Job Description
About the company
Why We Built Lyric: Supply chains are more critical and complex than ever. Every day, large enterprises navigate trillions of possible decisions that could impact the bottom line. Powerful algorithms and AI can address these problems, yet most organizations struggle to leverage supply chain AI at scale - the current SCM technologies are either rigid, limited scope point solutions or require building custom solutions in-house, which demand immense expertise and investment.
That is—until now.
Enter Lyric: Lyric is an enterprise AI platform built specifically for supply chains, offering the best of both worlds:
Out-of-the-box AI solutions for optimizing networks, allocating inventory, scheduling routes, planning fulfillment capacity, promising orders, propagating demand, building predictions, analyzing scenarios, and more, plus
A platform-first approach that empowers both business and technical users with end-to-end composability—leveraging no-code tools, their own code, or even forking our code to build and refine decision intelligence
With Lyric, enterprises no longer have to choose between flexibility and speed—they get both.
The Mission: We’re building a new era in supply chain with the team best equipped to lead it. With over 20 years at the intersection of supply chain and algorithms, we developed a deep conviction that global supply chains needed something like Lyric. Since our inception in December 2021, that conviction has been validated time and time again.
Today, a growing number of Fortune 500 companies—including Smurfit WestRock, Estée Lauder, Coca-Cola, Nike, and more—are innovating on their own terms with Lyric.
We can’t wait to see what our customers—both current and future—are empowered to build with us next. Come build with us.
Role:🛠️ Customer Planning Implementation & Solution Design
Lead the implementation of Lyric’s planning modules (Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Inventory Planning, and Order Promising) across large-scale enterprise engagements.
Engage directly with planning teams at client organizations to understand their current state processes, pain points, and KPIs across demand forecasting, supply planning, order fulfillment, and inventory allocation.
Configure and adapt Lyric’s platform to model customer-specific planning logic such as:
Demand segmentation and causal factor modeling
Multi-echelon inventory optimization (MEIO)
Allocation and pegging logic for order promising
Capacity and lead time-based supply planning
Safety stock and reorder parameter automation
🔍 Data Integration, Modeling & Validation
Collaborate with customer IT/data teams to extract, transform, and validate large datasets from systems like SAP ECC/S4, APO, IBP, or Oracle.
Design and validate planning data models — e.g., Product-Location-Customer combinations, BOMs, inventory snapshots, forecast history, and constrained supply plans.
Use SQL and in-platform tools to set up planning inputs and ensure data integrity and performance for high-volume scenarios.
📈 Planning Process Improvement
Identify inefficiencies in legacy planning approaches (e.g., Excel-based planning, static rules in SAP APO) and lead the shift to algorithm-driven, dynamic planning workflows within Lyric.
Drive workshops to redesign planning processes such as:
Monthly S&OP cycle integration with daily execution planning
Short-term demand sensing vs long-term forecasting splits
Push vs pull-based replenishment strategies
Create detailed documentation of “as-is” and “to-be” planning states with measurable improvement metrics.
🤝 Stakeholder Management & Change Enablement
Serve as the planning domain lead across implementation workstreams, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders — supply chain leaders, IT, analytics, and finance.
Manage planning governance rhythms, including solution design reviews, UAT sign-offs, and executive check-ins.
Provide hypercare support during go-live, ensuring planning users transition smoothly from legacy systems to Lyric with clear playbooks and training.
🔄 Product Feedback & Feature Shaping
Actively document planning edge cases, user friction points, and model accuracy issues; communicate them effectively to product and engineering for roadmap refinement.
Partner with product managers to test new planning features and enhancements such as:
AI-driven forecast overrides
Intelligent allocation engines
Real-time order promising modules
