When you join Untether AI, you will be part of a team that designs, develops and verifies the software that interacts with our chip, collaborating with our hardware engineers and with fellow software engineers in the process. By creating software that fully realizes the capabilities of the hardware, you will help get AI inference to the general populace.As part of this exceptional team, you are able to - and get excited by - identifying functional/performance bottlenecks and how to alleviate them in order to achieve scalable and reliable software. You excel in an environment with complex software and hardware designs.We are looking for an experienced Senior Deep Learning Engineer to join our Neural Networks team. The main objective of our team is to make it as seamless as possible for researchers and developers to successfully deploy neural networks to run on our hardware. You will be building tools for our customers to ingest, optimize, and quantize their networks. You will be working with deep learning frameworks at a deep level, modifying and extending backend functionality, and supporting the development of the SDK to produce highly optimized, accurate networks running on our chip. Untether AI is creating a new class of specialized processor targeting an extreme point on the energy-complexity scale. By eliminating as much complexity as possible while still being able to perform the operations necessary to do neural net inference and putting that processing as close as possible to the memory, we can get close to theoretical minimum power numbers for the given process (initially targeting 28nm). Neural net inference will become increasingly important on all types of devices. These devices operate with strict energy budgets which in some cases are too restrictive for any current inference technology and in other cases limit overall intelligence due to the maximum inference throughput. Untether AI is uniquely positioned to solve this problem with architecture that maximizes inference output for minimum power and is completely scalable.
