Your Role
The role supports Stellarus and related activities within the Ascendiun Family of Companies, as appropriate. The Technology Product and Platform team supports internal and external facing technology products and platforms. The Director of Product Management, AI Enablement Platform, will report to the Sr. Director of Technology Products and Platform. You will be responsible for building the infrastructure, governance frameworks, tools, and enablement programs that unlock responsible artificial intelligence (AI) innovation across the enterprise. This role blends technical leadership with enterprise strategy, cross-functional collaboration, and a deep commitment to ethical and compliant AI practices. Your Work
In this role, you will:
Product Strategy and Development
- Establish a product roadmap with a three-to-five-year horizon with operational plan for year 1 representing cross functional team integration
- Strategize and lead development of a scalable, secure, and user-friendly internal AI platform to support LLM-based tools and applications across the business
- Integrate AI/ML development tools, APIs, model lifecycle management, and access control mechanisms.
Stakeholder Engagement and Advocacy
- Engage with customers to gather feedback, understand their needs, and ensure high satisfaction with product offerings
- Drive initiatives that allow business units, product teams, and data scientists to safely build and deploy their own AI applications
- Design onboarding pathways, training resources, and templates to reduce the barrier to entry for non-technical users
Governance and Compliance
- Research, identify, review, and summarize new and existing AI regulations; maintain awareness of industry trends and regulatory actions
- Partner with Legal, Compliance, Data Privacy, Security, and Risk to establish and enforce responsible AI standards, review processes, and audit mechanisms
- Ensure the platform complies with HIPAA, data governance policies, and other healthcare regulations
Collaboration and Influence
- Foster an agile culture anchored in data to validate products, drive insights, and work tactically and strategically
- Work cross-functionally with IT, data engineering, product management, clinical innovation, and operations teams to understand needs and align roadmaps
- Serve as a thought leader on enterprise AI adoption and act as a bridge between AI research, engineering, and business stakeholders
Leadership and Team Development
- Manage a team of product managers, scrum masters and designers responsible for advancing product requirements and creating product prototypes for user feedback and iterative agile development
- Be responsible for creating workforce and staffing plans aligned with product offering roadmap
- Oversee the platform roadmap, budget, vendor relationships, and performance metrics
Your Knowledge and Experience
- Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Master’s degree/MBA is preferred or combination of relevant work experience and education
- Requires at least 10 years of prior relevant experience with deep product knowledge in Technology Platform/Product Management, Management Consulting, Technology Strategy, or Entrepreneurship, including 4 years of people management experience
- 5+ years of experience building enterprise software and or selling to enterprise customers in the AI / ML space
