About the teamThe Management Research Institute - Research Strategy and Academic Cooperation is ByteDance's strategy and academic collaboration team. Building on fulfilling academic cooperation needs from various technical lines, we focus on monitoring insights in cutting-edge tech fields and delivering analytical perspectives.Responsibilities- Develop and maintain the network with experts and scholars in the U.S. universities and research institutions, focusing on cutting-edge research areas, particularly in AI and related fields;- Conduct research on advanced technologies across various fields, university research developments, talent distribution, and industry trends to form professional insights;- Explore collaboration opportunities with academic institutions in different scientific and technological domains, build information-sharing networks, and establish industry influence.
Minimum qualifications- Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or other STEM disciplines;- Proficient in written and spoken English;- Self-driven, highly curious, with excellent communication skills, and a strong willingness to explore and grow in emerging fields;Preferred qualifications- 3-5 years of experience in university partnerships, strategy, consulting, investment, or entrepreneurship is a plus;- Experience managing research projects, academic conferences, joint labs, scholarships, or academic competitions is a plus.
【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (Annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $149000 - $290000 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
