The GET – Knowledge Platform team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer with experience across backend, frontend, and cloud systems. You’ll join a team building scalable, intelligent platforms powering content discovery, automation, and engagement across Autodesk’s ecosystem. You will collaborate with engineers, product managers, and UX designers to develop robust APIs, modern user interfaces, and efficient CI/CD workflows supporting key services and search technologies.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain scalable APIs and microservices (Java/Python) to support content ingestion, classification, and transformation
Maintain modern frontend experiences (React/JavaScript)
Integrate with AWS-native services for storage, computing, and messaging workflows (S3, Lambda, SQS)
Design and optimize ETL pipelines
Ensure systems are ready for AI/ML use cases by enabling structured, classified content processing
Understand deployment and integration pipelines using Jenkins, AWS Code Pipeline, or similar tools
Implement observability and alerting for applications and pipelines (e.g., Datadog, Splunk)
Write and maintain technical documentation and API references
Participate in code reviews and mentoring
Stay up to date with the latest data engineering technologies, and best practices
Recommend new technologies for data engineering improvements
Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of software development experience at multiple capacities
Proficiency in programming languages (we use Java & Python)
Experience with AI/ML is required
Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices
Experience with relational databases
Background on cloud technologies. (we use AWS, S3/EBS, Lambda, EKS, CloudWatch)
Familiarity with observability platforms
Have sound knowledge of design patterns and methodologies across multiple platforms
Knowledge and support of modern development practices, such as Agile and Open-Source technologies
Excellent debugging skills
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s in computer science or equivalent
